RRB Group D Exam 2018: Beginner’s Guide

In January 2018, Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) announced 26,000 vacancies of assistant loco pilot and technician posts. Now, RRB Group D 2018 exam notification has been issued on the website, Inviting applications from interested candidates for more than 60,000 vacancies in the RRB Group D examination. The examination will be carried out for the posts (Trackman, Leverman, Pointman, Helper- II, Gr.D  (Store), Keyman, Shunter, welder, Fitter, Porter, Helper-II (Mech), Helper-II (S &T). The exam will be scheduled on the various centers across India.

RRB Group D 2018 Eligibility Criteria:

The Criteria for the examination is divided in two parts Age and Education.

1) The Age Limit for RRB Group D Exam

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 31 years

2) Educational Qualifications for RRB (RRC) Exam

• The candidate should be atleast 10 th pass and or ITI holder Institution recognised by NCVT / SCVT

How to Apply for the RRB Group D Examination

 Candidates can apply online. The application Link is active, you can apply for RRB Group D Exam through Online mode only.

1. Candidates can register through RRB’s Official website
2. The Application Fee can be paid using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking /  or any online payment methods.
3. Candidates must have active e-mail ID.

RRB Group D Exam Pattern 

The selection process for RRB Group D Exam is divided in three steps. 

1. Computer Based Test (CBT)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Computer Based Test (CBT) for RRB Group D Exam 

1. This test will be an online examination
2. 1/3 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET)  for RRB Group D Exam

 A) Male Candidates

• Male candidates should be able to carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters within 2 minutes ( able to put down the weight once)
• Male candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 4 minutes and 15 seconds in one chance.

 B) Female Candidates

•  Female candidates should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 metres in 2 minutes ( able to put down the weight once)
•  Female candidates should be able to run for a distance of 1000 metres in 5 minutes and 40 seconds in one chance.
