RRB Recruitment 2018: Exam Information

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Indian Railways, has issued the job vacancy notification for more than 26,000 opening of the assistant loco pilot and technician posts. Inviting the application from the eligible Indian citizens, who are fit to apply can register online at the official website - indianrailways.gov.in. The last date for the submission of RRB application is March 5.  

Total Number of RRB Vacancies

A total number of 26,502 posts are to be filled through Railway Recruitment Board in 2018. Around 17,673 vacancies are reserved for the post of Loco Pilot (ALP) and around 8,829 vacancies are declared for the post of Technicians.

Syllabus and Preparation RRB Exam 2018

RRB ALP syllabus and exam pattern are available online to prepare for the exam in advance. It has 6 section of Arithmetic, Reasoning, General Awareness, General Science, General Intelligence and technical ability with 120 question, and the total time duration will be 90 minutes. RRB ALP and Technician exam will be conducted in online, selected candidates in this exam will be called for interview & document verification.

 RRB ALP Admit Card 2018

First, the candidate needs to apply RRB application online, that will be received by the examination conducting authority and then the Railway Recruitment Board will get their admit card for RRB ALP exam. RRB ALP admits card 2018 for online test will be available in the second week of April 2018. Separate admit cards will be issued for each candidate, according to that candidates must appear on given exam date and time.

RRB ALP admit card 2018 or call letter for the online exam (Phase-I) will be available to download from 10 days prior to the exam date. All the candidates need to download their admit cards from their respective railway board official website. RRB does not send any hard copy of Admit card through post. No candidate will be allowed to appear in the examination hall without a valid RRB ALP Admit Card 2018.

Exam Pattern RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) 2018

The Exam Pattern for Railway Recruitment 2018 constitutes of two stages of CBT ( Computer Based Test) or Online Test. Let's have a look at both these stages of CBT in detail.

First stage of CBT

Will consist of multiple-choice objective type questions: bilingual (Hindi/English)

There will be a negative marking for every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted.

After the result of first round qualified candidates to be shortlisted for the second stage of CBT. 

Second stage of CBT

After successfully clearing the first round, you will be asked to give the second stage of CBT which is divided into two parts Part A and Part B.

PART-A

Part A consist of multiple-choice objective type questions: bilingual (Hindi/English). There will be negative Marking as for every wrong answer 1/3 marks will be deducted.

PART-B

This part is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by Director General of Employment & Training (DGET).

RRB ALP Result 2018

The RRB ALP result 2018 will be out in August 2018.  The candidates will be cleared will only be eligible for Document Verifications and Medical fitness test. The RRB ALP results will be published on the regional website of Railway recruitment cell board. Candidates need to login with their registration number and default password (Birth Date) to know the status of the result.
